About and data sources
Nashik DP puts the Nashik Development Plan on one searchable map, so you can see what the plan shows for a plot without paging through 25 PDF sheets. It is an unofficial reference made by Bora Technologies. It is not an NMC service.
Which plan this is
The map shows the Draft Revised Development Plan of Nashik (2016-2036), as modified under section 28(4) of the MR&TP Act after public objections. The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) published it by notice No. NKDN/DRDP-Nashik/Sec 28(4)/1658 dated 16 November 2015, and uploaded the files to nmc.gov.in in October 2021. We retrieved them on 3 October 2026.
It is a draft. It is not the plan the Government of Maharashtra sanctioned in 2017-18, which differs in places and is not published online. The earlier draft of 21 May 2015 (section 26) is kept for comparison.
What is on the map
- The plan sheets. NMC's 24 village sheets, rendered from the original drawings and joined into one city map without lossy compression, plus 4 large-scale detail sheets (Nashik core, Godavari riverside, Deolali core, Satpur core).
- 488 reserved sites from Table B of the plan report: site number, purpose, area, survey numbers and status. 479 of them are pinned on the map; the rest could not be found on the sheets.
- About 7,000 plot and survey numbers, read from the drawings by machine. Coverage is incomplete and some readings are wrong.
- The 117 official modifications (Appendix A) made between the May and November 2015 drafts.
- The original documents: the plan report, the regulations (DCPR 2015) and the notices, unchanged.
How the map is aligned to GPS
The plan sheets are drawings, not surveys, and they are drawn about 5.3° off true north. To place your GPS position on them, we matched rivers and roads on each sheet to OpenStreetMap and fitted each sheet separately, with a finer correction on top.
We test the alignment on 44 road junctions that were picked by hand and never used for fitting:
- The typical error is about 25 m, and 90% of junctions are within about 83 m.
- It is weaker in Satpur MIDC (about 100 m) and in Ambad, Pathardi and Wadala (about 55-65 m), where some plan roads are drawn as proposed widenings rather than on today's road.
- Manur and Dadhegaon had too little road detail to fit, and several villages have no test junctions, so their accuracy is less certain.
Your phone's own GPS adds its own error, often 5-50 m and more indoors. Together, that means the dot can land on a neighbouring plot. Use the map to find your area and nearby plots, then confirm with NMC.
What the colours mean
The colours are the plan's proposed land use (residential, commercial, green zone and so on), as drawn on the 2015 draft. A colour is not a zoning certificate, and a survey number appearing in a reserved site's listing does not mean the whole plot is reserved: entries like "264p" mean part of survey 264.
